Phil leads the firm's portfolio management activities including follow-on investments, M&A, operations oversight, and liquidity management. Additionally, he brings extensive experience in the fields of operational improvement, open innovation, and patent transactions. Currently, Phil serves as a director on the boards of Pointr, RF Code and Gigsky.

Phil co-founded yet2 with Ben in 1999 and continues to serve on the board. Previously, Phil worked 13 years in general management and strategy consulting. He has substantial expertise in developing and implementing breakthrough strategic plans, having served clients for Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company. Phil also developed an expertise in the valuation of businesses and assets. With several years of experience working with fund-level and portfolio company tax and accounting issues, Phil brings strong leadership in building functional teams that provide timely and accurate investor communications and information.

Phil earned his undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Princeton University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. He lives in Newton, MA.
